SUCCESS STORY: BUSINESS WORKOUT FACILITATED EMPLOYEE RETREAT FOR BUSINESS WORKOUT AND TACTICAL PROPOSALS TO IMPLEMENT STRATEGIC ROADMAP OF A SMALL BUSINESS Business Challenge A privately owned nationally operating service company had a strategic roadmap and desired to have all 20 employees actively participate to redesign business processes and workflow in order to execute key components of the corporate strategic roadmap (that was separately established by Board/Owners). Moreover, the owners desired to inspire and motivate the workforce in a way that encouraged them to contribute their insights and ideas to the solutions; to take ownership in the specifics of implementation and to submit specific proposals to the owners. Finally at the end of a multi-day Workout Retreat. they wanted to incorporate on-the-spot owner decision making session with employees. How We Helped We designed and facilitated multi-day innovation workshop/process Offsite Workout with a team of 20 employees. We built individual and group innovation and decision making skills. We extracted creativity and facilitated rapid assessment and prototyping to identify bottlenecks, redesign workflow and to propose specific low cost or no cost recommendations for business improvement that would support strategic sales and growth (as instructed by Board). We guided sub work teams to rapidly prepare specific investment proposals for their presentation to Owner Board. Finally we facilitated same day Board Meeting where the Owner Board received and voted on 4 specific employee proposals. They designed, prepared and presented specific business/investment/workforce proposals to the Board.
